As a beginner actor, Thomas plays the sweet, young Elliott, the brother of Drew Barrymore and the boy who befriends the alien character in the movie. Thomas appeared in several other films after the movie. However, because this movie is so classic, the boy Elliott will forever be the Elliott boy to the Hollywood world.
