Christopher Plummer, renowned for his portrayal of the devoted Von Trapp family patriarch in The Sound of Music, had a less admirable side in his personal life. He married Tammy Grimes in 1956, and they had a daughter named Amanda a year later.
Unfortunately, Christopher’s behavior during Amanda’s birth was far from exemplary. He abandoned his wife in the delivery room while she was in labor and went out to enjoy himself elsewhere.
