Lana Turner

In the late 1950s, Hollywood icon Lana Turner was entangled in a tumultuous relationship with mob enforcer Johnny Stompanato. The notorious gangster even went so far as to follow her to London. Fortunately, during this troubling time, Lana’s co-star, the renowned James Bond actor Sean Connery, intervened and disarmed Stompanato. However, as the violent altercations escalated, Johnny eventually met a tragic end.

Lana Turner’s 14-year-old daughter, Cheryl Crane, took responsibility for the incident, admitting that Johnny had attacked her mother. Nevertheless, rumors have circulated over the years, suggesting that Lana may have been involved in Stompanato’s demise and convinced her daughter to shoulder the blame.
