The Return of Nature

Some natural elements are typically cleared when human-made structures are introduced into an area. This is evident in road construction, where the land is prepared before the road is built.

The same principle applies to sidewalks. However, this doesn’t mean that the natural elements disappear forever. On a sidewalk in Brazil, nature returns as trees send out sprawling roots that almost stretch from one side to another, reclaiming the sidewalk space.
