In many respects, modern-day dating has been simplified by the plethora of dating apps available. These apps provide us with an opportunity to connect with individuals we may not have met otherwise, and they streamline the dating process. Despite the advantages of these technologies, some people believe that the art of dating has lost some of its charm and romance that it possessed in the pre-technology era.
One of the drawbacks of using Tinder, in contrast to dating in the pre-Tinder era, is the potential for ghosting. Ghosting refers to the act of disappearing and no longer responding to messages. While dressing up as a ghost for Halloween is not particularly inventive, donning a costume that portrays the concept of Tinder ghosting and a ghosting victim – as these two friends did – is quite imaginative. It is an innovative interpretation that highlights the negative side of online dating and the implications that come with it.
