Isn’t That What Kids Do?
When a girl goes on a first date, she probably expects a nice meal or something thoughtful. What she didn’t expect was Mario Kart and a box of crackers. That’s what her date came up with — no fancy plans, just sitting on the floor with a video game and dry snacks. It was more like a lazy Saturday at a teenager’s house than a real adult date.
While some might find the idea quirky or nostalgic, this one just felt juvenile and underwhelming. There’s a time and place for Mario Kart, but the first time you meet someone shouldn’t feel like babysitting. That poor girl probably left hungry and confused about whether she was dating a grown man or a teenage gamer. Hopefully, he’s since upgraded his idea of romance. And if he ended up marrying her — well, maybe she really does love Nintendo.
