Daddy’s On The Guard
First dates are supposed to be a time to connect one-on-one — not with a chaperone tagging along. That didn’t stop this girl from showing up with her dad in tow. Whether it was her decision or her father’s, we’re not sure. But what we do know is that poor Will got a surprise third wheel, and it made things very awkward very fast.
Trying to impress someone while their parent is watching? That’s pressure no one asked for. It killed any chance of a casual vibe and probably made Will feel like he was being interviewed instead of flirted with. While it might be cute for protective parents to keep an eye out, there’s a time and place for everything. First dates probably aren’t it. Hopefully, Will made it through the evening politely and then noped out quietly. Or maybe — just maybe — he actually got the dad’s approval.
