All we could do after reading this post was shake our heads. We’re not sure what the goal of this status was, but calling out people who’ve read The Great Gatsby when you haven’t read it yourself? Not a great look.
Sure, reading the novel doesn’t make anyone better than you, but it might help if you’d understood the joke your Facebook friend was making in the comments. Just saying a little literary context can go a long way in moments like this!
