Bad pockets

Back pockets, often utilized more for their aesthetic appeal rather than practicality, remain a staple in many garments. While side pockets typically reign supreme in functionality, the existence of back pockets persists nonetheless.

However, encountering a hole at the base of a pocket, whether intentional or not, presents a significant inconvenience. This is particularly evident in scenarios such as preventing potential damage to a phone, as illustrated by the precarious situation with the iPhone and the intervening piece of string. In hindsight, opting for the side pocket seems the more logical and convenient choice.
