Remember when you were 16, and it was a blast to spin the year wheel selector on your phone to find your birth year? It felt like a rite of passage. But now, facing that wheel, anything beyond 1996 feels downright embarrassing. Honestly, we’d rather just type in our year and get on with it. This seemingly simple task has morphed into a test of endurance, with us spinning the wheel like it’s some Olympic sport.
Gone are the days when this was a fun activity. Now, scrolling through the years has become an event where we have to grip our phones tightly, spinning with such force that we fear dropping them. Anything over two scrolls feels excessive and embarrassing, making us long for the days when age felt like just a number, not a reminder of our ever-advancing years.
