The two-time Oscar winner encountered his future wife, Grace Hightower, in 1987 at the renowned London restaurant, Mr. Chow, where she was employed as a hostess. Although the couple didn’t provide much detail about their initial meeting, they did mention that it wasn’t an immediate whirlwind romance. They eventually tied the knot in 1997, a decade after their first encounter, and soon after, they welcomed their first child, Elliott. However, their marriage encountered difficulties, and they initiated divorce proceedings in 1997. Despite this, the divorce was never finalized, and they subsequently reconfirmed their commitment to each other by renewing their vows in 2004. In 2011, the couple joyously welcomed their second child, Helen Grace, through a surrogate.
