No Plastic, No Pollutant
The world is currently dealing with a significant problem of plastic pollution, marked by the concerning buildup of plastic in our oceans and landfills. In response to this issue, Ari Jónsson, a 32-year-old product design student from the Iceland Academy of Arts, has developed a groundbreaking solution. He designed a bottle that remains sturdy when filled but naturally decomposes when unused.
This groundbreaking bottle is made entirely from agar, a jelly-like material from red algae and water. It is not only entirely natural but also safe for drinking purposes. Water helps maintain the bottle’s structure while it miraculously decomposes once emptied, offering a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional plastic containers.
