In Iceland, children place their shoes by the bedroom window for 13 nights leading up to Christmas Day, and each night, at least one of the Yule Lads fills their shoes with a gift.
The Yule Lads, known for their mischievous and quirky personalities, have distinct characteristics and behaviors. From Stubby, who is short and steals food from frying pans, to Gully Gawk, who swipes the foam from cow milk, these Yule Lads bring excitement and anticipation to the holiday season with their gifts and pranks.
