#2: Rainbow Crown in the Clouds
This striking photo looks like something from a fantasy movie, but it is a natural atmospheric phenomenon. In early 2024, residents of Saigon spotted a massive cloud glowing with vibrant rainbow colors. The iridescent halo created a surreal floating orb in the sky that had people stopping in their tracks and pulling out their phones.
Although it appears magical, cloud iridescence happens when sunlight scatters off tiny droplets or ice crystals. Most of us have seen faint versions of this effect, but this particular formation created an unusually bright, rainbow-tinted glow that looked almost unreal.
