One of the World’s Largest Pilgrimages
The Kumbh Mela, a sacred Hindu pilgrimage, occurs once every 12 years and stands as the largest congregation of people worldwide, visible even from space. In 2019, the Kumbh Mela took place in Ardh of Allahabad, spanning from January 15th to March 4th, with an estimated participation of around 130 million individuals.
Engaging in such an immense gathering may seem daunting, yet it undeniably presents a rare opportunity that comes once in a lifetime. It’s worth noting, however, that the next occurrence is over a decade away, adding to the anticipation and exclusivity of the experience.
