While it’s puzzling to discern the exact inspiration behind these four friends’ costumes, our best bet is that they’re channeling Thomas the Tank Engine from the classic TV series Thomas & Friends, which graced screens four decades ago.
Thomas, the Tank Engine, is an anthropomorphic locomotive engine that traverses the rails of the fictional island of Sodor. As for which rails these four friends intend to ride, we can only speculate. However, it must be noted that while the idea of portraying Thomas is commendable, their makeup does add a rather eerie touch to the ensemble.
