The couple continued their journey together, ultimately leading to their marriage and the establishment of a family.
While Elizabeth’s grandmother’s decision to abandon her great-uncle may have been understandable, her choice to pursue a relationship with his brother raises questions about loyalty and respect within familial relationships. Despite the potential justification for her actions, it is difficult not to view her behavior as somewhat harsh and callous.
