Meeting one’s significant other through mutual acquaintances or family is a widely observed phenomenon. In this particular case, the mother of the person in question happened to meet their father during a night of revelry. Interestingly, she was on a date with his cousin at the time, but that didn’t deter her from expressing her interest in him.
When the cousin extended another invitation for a party that same evening, she agreed to attend only on the condition that her prospective spouse would be present. It’s safe to assume that her attention was solely focused on him for the remainder of the night, leaving her date feeling left out. It turned out to be a fortuitous encounter, as the parents of the Twitter user have been happily married for 59 years.
