Odd Assumptions

The idea that everything we do or consume during our periods somehow comes back when we get pregnant is not only absurd but also terrifying. Can you imagine gaining eighty pounds overnight from the chocolate consumption alone? Add in the times we lounged by the pool with a drink, and it would be an absolute nightmare. Fortunately, this idea is not medically accurate, and there’s no need to worry about such things happening during pregnancy. It’s crucial to promote better understanding and awareness of menstrual health to eliminate stigmas and harmful beliefs.

It’s ironic that most of the men who hold such strange beliefs about periods likely have mothers, sisters, or girlfriends. One would think that living with the opposite gender would allow some common sense to develop when it comes to menstrual health. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, and many men lack basic knowledge and understanding of reproductive health. This scenario highlights the need for more education and open dialogue surrounding menstrual health, particularly with men. By doing so, we can eliminate stigmas and misconceptions surrounding periods, promoting better understanding and awareness of menstrual health for all.
