Once again, the misconception that menstruation is a selective and controllable occurrence is prevalent. The sad reality is that there are brides out there who have had to postpone their wedding night or deal with the embarrassment of a period during their wedding day. While many of us wish we could control it, the truth is that we can’t. However, it would be wonderful if one day we could have periods on demand, maybe three times a year!
Nevertheless, it’s essential to recognize that most of us would not mind having a period if it didn’t come with all the additional burdens such as back pain, bloating, and headaches. Thus, it is unfortunate that the individual in question demanded that his partner schedule her period around his birthday. It’s doubtful that he would have ever asked her to do the same around hers, so his behavior is unacceptable and warrants condemnation.
