The Warning Signs in the Laundry

Emma had done the laundry a thousand times, but this time something was different. As she sorted through a pile of clothes, one of Dominic’s white button-down shirts caught her attention. There was something on the collar—a faint but unmistakable lipstick stain. It stopped her in her tracks. She stared at it, heart racing, unsure whether she was overreacting or uncovering the beginning of something devastating.

The stain alone might not have meant much to others, but for Emma, it was a red flag. She had never worn lipstick and had no reason to leave a mark like that. Her mind began to spiral. Could there be someone else? Could Dominic have been hiding something from her all along? She wasn’t ready to believe it, but the evidence was right there in her hands, and it shook her to the core.
