Janet Jackson

On February 1st, 2004, Janet Jackson experienced a highly publicized “wardrobe malfunction” during her halftime performance at Super Bowl XXXVIII. The incident involved an accidental exposure of a certain part of her body, but there were suspicions that the stunt was planned. Due to the controversy surrounding the incident, Janet Jackson was disinvited from the upcoming 46th Grammy Awards Ceremony scheduled for February 8th.

On the other hand, Justin Timberlake, who was also involved in the wardrobe malfunction, was invited to the Grammy Awards and performed his song “Señorita” from his Grammy-nominated album, Justified. Many felt it was unfair and unjustified to ban Janet Jackson while inviting Justin Timberlake, as they both played a role in the incident.
