Madonna

Texting in a movie theater can be incredibly disruptive and annoying for other movie-goers. In 2013, even the famous Madonna was in trouble when she was asked to leave the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater chain for violating their strict no-talking and no-texting policy. The incident occurred during a screening of the movie “12 Years A Slave,” Madonna was reportedly caught using her Blackberry to text.

When another audience member approached her and asked her to stop texting, Madonna allegedly reacted defensively and lashed out at them. Her behavior led to the Alamo Drafthouse uninviting her from all of their theaters due to her disregard for the theater’s rules and the disruption she caused to other patrons. It serves as a reminder to be considerate of others and to respect the rules and etiquette when enjoying a movie in a public setting.
