Maffs in a Flash

It’s hard to believe that someone could skip several weeks of first-grade math class and still manage to graduate to adulthood. In a recent post, an individual claimed that someone born in 2010 would be 18 years old in 2018. However, anyone with basic math skills knows that this is not the case. The correct age would be eight years old, which is a significant difference from 18. We took the time to triple-check the calculation using a calculator to ensure accuracy.

It’s not uncommon for individuals to use calculators or Excel to check their math, and there’s no shame in doing so. However, this particular individual not only made a significant error but also displayed their faulty calculation in the post. It’s unclear who their elementary math teacher was, but one can only imagine how they might feel upon seeing such a blatant error. In any case, this serves as a reminder of the importance of basic math skills and the need to double-check calculations before sharing them publicly.
