World Cockroach Racing Championship

Australia has its fair share of unusual events and championships, like many countries. One such example is the annual World Cockroach Racing Championship held in Brisbane. As depicted in the picture, the event appears to be a collection of cockroaches scurrying around on the floor, seemingly without any specific order or purpose.

Interestingly, the championship originated as a gambling event at a casino in Brisbane. Cockroaches are known for their remarkable speed, as their rate of movement relative to their body length is equivalent to a human running at a staggering 200 mph.
