#13: David Letterman’s Scholarship for the “Average Kid”

Not everyone graduates school with straight A’s or a stack of academic awards. David Letterman knows this well — he was a self-described C student. Instead of hiding that fact, he leaned into it by creating a scholarship specifically for students who aren’t top achievers but show creativity and drive.

It’s a rare, refreshing reminder that success doesn’t belong exclusively to the “gifted” kids. Sometimes the average student just needs one person to bet on them.
