The iconic red-haired beauty Ariel from Disney’s 1989 animated film “The Little Mermaid” was intentionally designed to resemble actress Alyssa Milano. To achieve this, the producers even referenced Milano’s teenage photos to capture her facial structure and petite frame.
However, Ariel’s signature red hair was distinct from Alyssa’s own. Interestingly, Alyssa Milano discovered this connection as a surprise when the producers released a sneak peek of the film’s making, adding an unexpected honor to her career.
