29. Miami Shortcoming
During my college days, there was a guy who lived across the hall in the dormitory. One weekend, he left for what was supposed to be a short trip. But ended up being absent for a whole week. When he finally returned, everyone was curious about where he had been. His explanation turned out to be quite amusing – he claimed the FBI had detained him.
Apparently, he had an extremely wealthy friend who had invited their group. To enjoy Miami for a lavish stay at the Four Seasons suite. This rich friend, who had a $40,000 monthly allowance. It was allegedly embezzling money from his father’s business to cover his extravagant expenses, finding $40,000 insufficient. The FBI tracked him down at the Four Seasons and put an end to their party.
