As an art student working as a gardener in one of the country’s most affluent neighborhoods. I often find myself in interesting situations. On one occasion, while discussing my education with a customer, they enthusiastically invited me inside to view their art collection.
I remember standing in their bathroom, dressed in my soiled gardening attire. While they proudly pointed out a 100% authentic Picasso painting hanging directly above their toilet. It was a surreal juxtaposition of my everyday work environment. The extravagance of their art collection, highlighting the eclectic experiences that come with working in such a diverse community.
