While the prominent actor established his presence in Hollywood, his birth occurred in Ontario, Canada, on November 12, 1980. Brought up within a Mormon family, Ryan experienced a deeply religious upbringing. Reflecting on this period in an interview with The Guardian, Ryan shared, “Our religious beliefs were deeply integrated, influencing everything – from dietary choices to thought patterns.” Despite his somewhat distant connection to the Mormon faith, he acknowledges the positive aspects of attending church.
At 10, Ryan was educated at home briefly, leading to a limited circle of friends and a childhood marked by isolation. This upbringing has greatly influenced his current inclination towards solitude. Complicating matters was the frequent relocation of his family due to his father’s job as a traveling salesman. As a result, his school years were often challenging, compounded by personal struggles.
