ADHD Impacted His School-Life
Ryan leads a relatively private life, only revealing details that he consciously chooses to disclose. However, he has been candid about his past struggle with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) during childhood. He received his initial diagnosis in the first grade and was placed in a special-needs class, marking the beginning of a challenging academic journey for the talented actor.
Ryan managed to navigate through his school years with below-average grades and frequently found himself in trouble. There was an instance when he brought steak knives to school and threw them at his classmates, inspired by a character from the movie Rambo. Reflecting on this period, Ryan told GQ, “I faced difficulties in school and had trouble retaining what the teachers were teaching. While others seemed to find it easier, I struggled. It took a toll on my self-esteem.”
