Pushing Through To Make Show Biz Work

By the time The Mickey Mouse Club met its cancellation in 1995, Ryan had savored the taste of stardom and was unwilling to settle for anything less. He carried forward the momentum and was featured in the teen comedy series Breaker High from 1997 to 1998. Subsequently, he faced a challenging decision: whether to continue his formal education. At 17, Ryan opted to dedicate himself to acting fully.

He chose to leave high school and relocated to Los Angeles, where he embraced the titular role in the popular teen show Young Hercules. He even adopted a false accent to mask his Canadian heritage, attempting to sound more akin to Marlon Brando. Unfortunately, not all of his endeavors achieved success. Ryan’s aspiration to join the Backstreet Boys in the early 1990s met with rejection. Nevertheless, the industry, which failed to recognize his potential, was on the verge of receiving a significant lesson.
