Interestingly, Sofia initially hesitated to pursue modeling due to concerns about how it might clash with her devout Catholic upbringing and education.
Nevertheless, her mother convinced her to try it, and she appeared in a Pepsi advertisement in 1989. The ad was a massive success, marking the beginning of her successful journey in the modeling world.
