Lisbeth Salander – Rooney Mara
There are multiple iterations of the psychological thriller “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” These include the original Swedish novel, a Swedish film adaptation, and the 2011 movie directed by David Fincher. In the American version, the character of Lisbeth Salander, a tattooed computer hacker, is portrayed by actress Rooney Mara.
To prepare for the role, Rooney underwent various transformations. She received multiple piercings, dyed her hair, and bleached her eyebrows. Rooney has expressed that her personal style has changed significantly since taking on this role. Previously inclined towards “girly” and “frilly” attire, she now gravitates more towards “comfortable” and “boyish” clothing items.
