Aileen Wuornos – Charlize Theron
In Patty Jenkins’ directorial debut, Monster, the role of serial killer Aileen Wournos was portrayed by South African actress Charlize Theron. Despite their striking physical differences, Theron embarked on a remarkable transformation for the role. She meticulously shaved her eyebrows, utilized dentures, applied tattoo ink to weather her skin, and intentionally gained 30 pounds.
Regarding her commitment to the character, Charlize stated, “It was important for me to embody Aileen’s lifestyle and essence. I didn’t want to perceive my own physique and witness my inherent muscle definition.” As a result of her dedication, she received the prestigious honor of an Academy Award.
