Hawaii Does Not Observe Daylight Savings Time

Hawaii follows its time zone, known as Hawaiian Standard Time. The state does not observe Daylight Saving Time, as it can disrupt Hawaii’s naturally long and beautiful days, causing sunset to occur prematurely.

This timekeeping choice aligns Hawaii with Arizona and other U.S. territories like American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico.
