Heed the Warnings
Being able to see marine wildlife up close and personal is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Such behavior not only stresses the animal but also poses a risk to your safety. Respecting wildlife means understanding and heeding their signals, especially when they are explicitly telling you to back off.
Somehow, this encounter didn’t end in an attack, but it sure came pretty close. All we can say is there was some luck in the stars that day.
