Never Far from a Turkish Bath

A quintessential part of daily life in Turkey involves regular visits to one of the country’s numerous Turkish baths, known as hammams. Although the number of these bathhouses has declined over the years, Turkey still boasts a healthy array of these venues, such as the one in Istanbul.

While they may appear unremarkable from the outside, stepping inside reveals a world of steam rooms, traditional bathtubs, and saunas that have remained virtually unchanged for centuries.
