One aspect of Turkish living that frequently bewilders foreigners is the prevalence of “window-to-window” buildings. Reportedly, numerous apartments in Turkey are designed in this manner, and surprisingly, it is entirely legal.

“I can’t fathom how people live like this; the neighbors can practically see everything inside your apartment,” lamented one blogger. It’s safe to say that this type of accommodation is also quite unfamiliar to us.
