The Aftermath
In today’s festival landscape, it has become commonplace for organizers to boast about their strong commitment to environmental conservation, emphasizing the responsible recycling of the immense amount of waste generated during these few days. However, regrettably, these claims often diverge from the actual reality.
Instead, what we often witness are the aftermaths of these events resembling litter-strewn battlegrounds, with the once pristine open spaces now marred by trash. While festivalgoers certainly play a role in this outcome, it ultimately falls upon the organizers to ensure an adequate number of trash cans and recycling bins are available, which, unfortunately, is rarely the case.
