Flogging as a Form of Legal Punishment
In Malaysia, the law permits the punishment of lawbreakers through flogging. It is common to witness adults being subjected to flogging as a form of legal penalty.
The maximum number of strokes that can be administered is 24, although exceptions exist. Women, boys under 10, and men over 50 are exempt from this form of punishment.
