The Last Surviving Rubber Tree

Malaysia boasts its fair share of unique treasures, and among them are the invaluable rubber trees, which yield the essential raw material, rubber.

The world’s last surviving rubber tree is in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur district office. This remarkable tree has a historical origin dating back to 1877 when Englishman H.N. Ridley acquired the last batch of rubber trees from London’s new gardens.
