A Glimpse of Tehran – 1960s 

This vintage photo of Tehran, Iran’s capital, is a striking reminder of how quickly things can change in just a few decades. In the 1960s, Tehran was a modern and metropolitan city, much like its Western counterparts. 

Society was generally more secular, and people enjoyed greater personal freedom regarding dress and lifestyle. However, the Iranian Revolution altered the course of the country’s history, leading to the Iran we see today.
