In today’s society, it’s not uncommon for people to become easily offended by things that may seem trivial or even humorous to others. This was the case when a person recently expressed their discontent that yogurt is made from milk produced by cows with predominantly female names like Myrtle, Letty, and Veronica. The argument was made that it would be more gender-equal to use milk from male cows to make yogurt instead.

However, this argument doesn’t hold up to basic biological knowledge as male cows, or bulls, do not produce milk. It’s possible that the person was upset that there aren’t female cows with traditionally male names like Steve or David, but regardless, their argument seems unfounded. In fact, it’s worth noting that the milk produced by cows, regardless of gender, is an important source of nutrition and sustenance for people around the world. It’s a privilege to have access to such resources, and it’s important to remember to be grateful for what we have rather than looking for reasons to be offended.
