Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy explains what information Belle Souls (“we”, “us”) collects when you read bellesouls.com, how it is used, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Reading statistics. To learn which articles help readers, our pages record reading statistics: the page you read, how long it was on your screen, how far you scrolled, how many ads were shown, and your country (worked out from your connection). These statistics use no cookies and don’t include your name, email address or IP address.

A random browser ID. We store a random ID in your browser’s local storage. It identifies a browser, not a person, and is shared with Meta (see below) so our ad measurement works across visits.

What you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.

Advertising

Belle Souls is free to read because it shows ads. Ads are served by Google (Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager) and its advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and can change that choice at any time through the privacy settings link of Google’s consent message.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel

We promote our articles on Facebook and Instagram. Our pages use the Meta Pixel to measure how those promotions perform, for example whether a visit came from one of our posts or ads, how long it lasted, and whether ads on the page were viewed or clicked. Meta may use cookies and the random browser ID described above for this. See Meta’s Privacy Policy; you can manage your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Hosting

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse.

How long we keep information

Reading statistics are kept for up to three months. Emails are kept only as long as needed to answer them.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings and use the opt-out links above. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete information about you, or to object to how it is used; write to us and we will help. We do not sell your personal information.

Children

Belle Souls is written for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top.
